11 pm

One night fell. Slowly and silent. I was faraway from home, with less energy to walk long distance. Reached one point, transit to another, before finally my destination.

Far, it came nearer, and closer to the shelter. It might be the last bus. I might be the last passenger. With the last money I have in the pocket. Last step put me inside the bus.

There was nothing much to say inside the bus. Empty seats were common to find. The passengers were lame. Late night workers with their tired faces. Bored with daylife rutinity. Blurry eyes showed it clearly. Everything seemed fake.

As I sit, I let go off my mind. With no intentions, they were flying high. For a minute there, I lost myself. A shadow remained of beautiful faces. A sound of music. A memory that would last for a long time. I smiled.

The cold wind blows from the window. They rolled down even wider. Fresh air ran through my skin. Touched my face. Inhaled deeply and filled my lung. I look outside. The night’s view set as background. Rows of buildings, roads, lights. They were moving still, we left them behind. So quiet. The city slept safe and sound.

Street vendor awoke me from my dream. A young girl held a child. She look weak, but still managed to sing a couple of songs. Maybe she was hungry. Maybe she hadn’t eat since morning. I dare only guess. Her dirty clothes pictured perfect as it seemed. Some changes could be her savior.

Time went by. Suddenly, the bus passed Grogol. It’s my stop. Lazy steps pulled me out. The bus left me standing awkward…till it was gone. I walked straight forward. Some crowd gathered for life. Shared the moment together. They didn’t mind to each other.

I was still there. Stood alone. A shadow of love beared in front of me. Filled the emptiness inside. I reached them. I moved towards. Place where I want to be. Home.
